(1872 - 1953)

9-6-1953 at Kamptee, Fr. John D’COSTA, from Bombay.Teacher at St. Aloysius, Jabalpur and SFS Nagpur. Principal St.  Aloysius, School 1901-11.Railway chaplain Bilaspur 1911. From 1912, Principal of the R. C. Mission School, which became in 1927 St. John’s H. School. He built the present H. School at Moti Bagh, was its Principal up to 1943, and then retired at Kamptee, for several years lost in the meanders of the night of his mind. 81 years old  

Fr. MAURICE CHAMONISE

(1906 - 1954)

24-3-1954 at Gnanapuram, Fr. Maurice CHAMONIN, from Geneva.After a ministry of 16 years in England, came  to India in  1947. SFS Press, Nagpur 1947-49, Chaplain of Waltair Convent 1949-54.Died of diphtheria. 48 years old 24-03-2004 at Visakh  Fr. Mathew PAZHEDAM  Visakh Province from Palai, Kerala.Ordained 1943. Worked  in Telugu missions; Kakinada 1960, Bheemunipatnam 1970, Marklapur 1978,  Chaplain of Cloistered  Carmel, Kurnool 1984-86,  Anantapur 1987-90,  Rajam  1990-95, Philip Nagar, Parvatipuram  1996  where he  retired till the  end of his life.A cheerful and devoted missionary.89 years old  

Fr. BERNANRD CARRON

(1998 - 1954)

5-8-1954  at Lyon, France,Fr. Bernard CARRON, from Annecy.Came to Nagpur 1926. Teacher SFS Nagpur 1926-37.Chaplain of Kamptee  1937-44, Parish Priest Bilaspur 1944-50.Went back to Europe for health reasons in 1950, died of brain tumour.56 years old

(1882 - 1964)

24-11-1964 at Nagpur, Bro.Harold D’SILVA, from Igatpuri.Worked at St.Aloysius’ School Jabalpur, St. Joseph’s Technical School Nagpur & St.  John’s H. School.Expert builder,architect and Mechanic, built St. John’s School building among others.Manager of diocesan properties.82 years old

Gerson  ROWLAND, from Bombay.Teacher SFS Nagpur 1914-24, St.  Aloysius’Jabalpur 1924-30, Parish Priest Murtizapur where he started a good school 1930-34.Principal St. Joseph Boys School Kamptee 1934-37, Railway chaplain & First resident priest Ballarshah 1937-52, retired at St. John’s. 82 years old

(1882 - 1968)

1-1-1968 at Amravati, Fr. Jean Marie BERGER, from Viuz-Faverges, Savoy, missionary in Ghogargaon, Borsar. During the 1st World War, was sent to Poona diocese and worked for seven years at Kendal (Ahmednagar). P. Priestof Aurangabad 1928-50.Developed the Lohgaon  mission,Assistant at Badnera and Amravati. 86 years old
