Fr. JEAN DECOMPOIX

21-11-1894  at Nagpur,     Fr. Joseph DECOMPOIX, from Bons, Savoy. Came  to  India  1887. Teacher St.  Aloysius’Visakh, and  ministry  on  Sundays at Bimlipatam  1888-93. Teacher SFS Nagpur 1894, died  of  typhoid  whilst nursing sick boys during an epidemic. 30 years old

18-12-1898  at Thana,  Bro. Francis, from  Secunderabad. Soldier in Madras Regiment serving in Burma, lost family ina shipwreck, retired as a sergeant with pension of Rs. 7 per East Africa Province at Angamaly, Kerala. Parish Priest at Chera Mission in Kenya 2012. A Zealous and hardworking Missionary.    57 Years old

Fr. CHARLES GAILLARD

(1824 - 1901)

26-6-1901 at Kamptee, Bro. Charles  GAILLARD, from Crempigny, Savoy.Builder and  Educationist,  built the  first Convent of St. Joseph in Yanam1850. Headmaster of the first School for boys in  Kamptee  in 1852. European  boyswere transferred to  Nagpur in 1870,  and  formed  SFS School.  In  Kamptee, St.  Joseph’s Boys’ School continued for Indian  boys and orphans. Teacher SFS Nagpur, Headmaster Kamptee School up to 1900.  77 years old
